ACTION! And plenty of it. KICK ASS Martial Arts stunts, great soundtrack, and lots of eyecandy. Babe-o-liscious Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne are only for starters. Don't worry gentlemen there's someone for your viewing pleasure as well in the lovely and lithe Carrie-Anne Moss. Hugo Weaving is the perfectly understated, impeccably dressed, villainous "Mr Smith". Gloria Foster is a welcome surprize too. Right from the start if you are a sci-fi fan, there's no way you're not going to be hooked by this film. If you're not a sci-fi fan, you will be after seeing this film. Anyone who has experimented with mind-expanding chemicals will also feel a special kinship with this work. The Academy Awards* this film received were definitely well earned. It is difficult to describe the specifics of "The Matrix" and truly do it justice without giving away essential elements of the plot.
