ACTION! And plenty of it. KICK ASS Martial Arts stunts, great soundtrack, and lots of eyecandy. Babe-o-liscious Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne are only for starters. Don't worry gentlemen there's someone for your viewing pleasure as well in the lovely and lithe Carrie-Anne Moss. Hugo Weaving is the perfectly understated, impeccably dressed, villainous "Mr Smith". Gloria Foster is a welcome surprize too. Right from the start if you are a sci-fi fan, there's no way you're not going to be hooked by this film. If you're not a sci-fi fan, you will be after seeing this film. Anyone who has experimented with mind-expanding chemicals will also feel a special kinship with this work. The Academy Awards* this film received were definitely well earned. It is difficult to describe the specifics of "The Matrix" and truly do it justice without giving away essential elements of the plot. Suffice it to say that when "Morpheus" explains it must be experienced to be understood he speaks the truth.
